OUR STORY
OUR STAFF
River 16 first came to be when singer-songwriter Rob Lackie decided to build a personal studio in a shack overlooking the 16 mile creek. The name comes from a historical painting of the 16 mile creek. The heading under the painting read “River 16".
Construction started in 2007, and mayor Rob Burton cut the ribbon to commemorate opening the studio doors to the public in April, 2009. Since then, River 16 has provided Oakville and the surrounding GTHA with a professional recording facility.
